Berry Head Quarry

The Quarry has the deepest water out of all the marks in Brixham, with a very rocky bottom to start but opening out into the sea with a smoother bottom around 30 yards out.

An excellent spot for feather fishing or spinning for Mackerel in the summer. In the Winter months, fishing on the bottom using big baits can produce species such as Whiting, Conger Eel, Dogfish...

The Breakwater

Brixham Breakwater is an easily accessible, huge fishing mark with a wide variety of different species to catch. Most species can be caught here. The record Conger Eel was once held here, as the rocky Breakwater provides an excellent home for some huge Conger, Wrasse and Pollock.

Most species can be caught here. In the summer, float fishing for Mackerel, Garfish and Wrasse provides the most enjoyment at this mark; as well as spinning, LRF and bottom fishing. In the Winter, bottom fishing can produce large Conger Eels, Dogfish, Bull Huss and Whiting. Very snaggy area with rocks and boats, so be careful!

Battery Gardens

Battery Gardens, although not the most popular spot for fishing on the bottom for big fish - has lots of different species for targeting using LRF tactics, spinning and even float fishing. Many Wrasse live in and around the rocky headland, providing lots of fun using light tackle.
